Vera’s Nassau Bahamas Red and White Madres Bow Tie - Rare

A well-documented mid-20th-century local mercantile establishment on Bay Street in downtown Nassau, known for tropical cotton garments, resort clothing, and island accessories.

This bow tie is red and white Madras cotton, it’s 1 ¼” inches wide and 32” inches long with an adjustable slide on navy blue grosgrain ribbon.

The original woven cloth label confirms this bow tie is an authentic piece of mid-century Bahamian resort fashion, dating from the 1960s. During this post-WWII era, downtown Nassau's Bay Street became a bustling hub for wealthy American and British tourists seeking high-quality tropical wear.
